Keracunan ‘Snack’ Puluhan Anak SD Terkapar

BANDAR LAMPUNG, (AL) – Dozens of children were rushed to the hospital after allegedly being poisoned by packaged snacks at SD Negeri 1 Durian Payung, Bandar Lampung, Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Based on information gathered by Inisiatornews.com, dozens of elementary school children are suspected of being poisoned during morning break at around 09:30 WIB after consuming packaged snacks.

From the amateur video circulating, several children in elementary school uniforms are seen receiving treatment at the hospital.

“Yes, we received a report that children at SD 1 Durian Payung experienced food poisoning after eating packaged snacks during recess,” said the Head of Elementary Education, Bandar Lampung City Education and Culture Office, Mulyadi when confirmed on Tuesday (22/10/2024).

He said that as many as twelve elementary school children experienced nausea, stomach ache and vomiting after consuming the packaged snacks.

“Initially, the children felt nauseous, had stomach aches and vomited after eating the packaged snacks,” he said.

“Afterwards, the teacher there immediately coordinated with the hospital and the dozens of children were immediately rushed to the dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Bandar Lampung Regional Hospital,” he explained.

Mulyadi continued, currently the condition of the children has improved quite a bit after being given treatment from the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Bandar Lampung.

“Thank God, the condition has improved quite a bit, hopefully this afternoon the children will be able to return to their respective homes,” he said.

In addition, Mulyadi also appealed to all parties, especially elementary schools in Bandar Lampung City, to be more selective in controlling the sale of snacks in their environment so that such things do not happen again.

“I appeal to children and parents to be more careful when buying snacks, especially teachers to be more selective in controlling the sale of snacks in their school environment,” he said.

“Meanwhile, the snacks are currently being checked by the Bandar Lampung BPOM,” said Mulyadi.
